Another league game on Monday this time against St John Fisher. A rough start with 5 of our squad selection pulling out due to injury/illness. A mad rush around to find some replacements and it was game on.

A disjointed side with players having to fulfil roles that maybe they were not too keen on but full credit they took this on in light of our missing players. We found ourselves under a lot of pressure throughout most of the first half and SJF constantly had the ball in our half. This was surprising as they were also down to 10 men through injury. Our players were not doing anything wrong but it just wasn't 'clicking' and showing good football like we saw in the last game. Fortunately the few chances we had we managed to put away and went in at half-time 3-1 up.

The half-time team talk was not pretty despite the scoreline we had barely touched the ball and our football needed a lot of improvement. SJF managed to find another player at this point and went up to 11 men again. However, we improved and it was much more even game both attacking each other's goals. A great save from James saw a rebound fall between their striker and our defender with their striker reacting quicker and making it 3-2... Game on! Fortunately again we made sure our chances counted when we got them and we quickly turned it into 4-2. A good game and our first win!
