In celebration of International Women's Day last Friday, we invited former students of the UTC to return as guest speakers to deliver an assembly to a selection of our female students currently studying with us.

Shannon Kerrigan from Willmott Dixon construction and Alysia provided insight into their journeys from studying at Waterfront UTC to their current employment within the construction and engineering industries, which also allowed students to gain a real understanding from their success stories of how career paths can develop after education.

Some students took it upon themselves to speak with Shannon and Alysia after the session to discuss work experience and ask questions relating to careers and next steps. We'd like to thank both Shannon and Alysia for taking the time to assist with this event and we hope to invite them both back again in the near future.
