Waterfront UTC are proud to have been awarded a Foyles Grant to create a custom library for the school.

Opened this term, the library houses over 1000 books and features the reading list texts for subject specialisms alongside a comprehensive range of fiction books. Highlights of the library include a selection of dyslexia friendly books and a wide range of books promoting diversity and inclusion.

The library is open each lunch time for students to check out books, and to use as a quiet reading space during social times. Every student is given a log in to review the books available, and to keep a record of their reading across all subjects and for pleasure.

Promoting a ‘Love of Literature’ is at the heart of Waterfront UTC’s literacy strategy and with our new dedicated library space we are able to provide the very best for our students.
